Nonthaburi

I booked the Starter Filing Session with a cardboard box of mixed papers I had been putting off for two years. By the end of the afternoon I had a proper folder system I can actually use. The pace was calm and no one made me feel embarrassed about the state things were in.

The How-It-Works session helped me understand the basic structure of Thailand's Social Security system for the first time. I had always been confused by the different fund categories. What I appreciated was that the explanation stayed general — I was told clearly where to go for questions about my own situation, which was the right approach.

I have pension documents from two countries mixed in with Thai paperwork and genuinely could not make head or tail of the whole pile. The Organise & Signpost Programme sorted all of it and left me with a written list of which office deals with what. Very helpful to have on paper.

Good, solid service. Straightforward about what they do and do not cover, which I found reassuring rather than frustrating. The session took longer than I expected because I had more documents than I realised, but that was fine.

I was nervous coming in because I had no idea what I had or what I was missing. The team was very patient. By the end I knew what each folder contained and had a list of the government offices relevant to my documents. That list has already been useful — I contacted one of the offices the following week.

Useful session. The general overview of how pension systems work was clear and I now understand the difference between fund types I had been confusing for years. I would have liked a bit more depth on the international side, but that is probably outside what this service covers — and they were upfront about that.

Client Stories

How Three Clients Used meridianesds

Case Study — Starter Filing Session

The Situation

A retired teacher in Nonthaburi had accumulated fifteen years of provident fund statements, Social Security notices, and employer pension letters in a single document drawer. She could not identify which were current and which were superseded.

The Session

A Starter Filing Session sorted all documents by issuing body and date, discarding duplicates with her instruction. A labelled folder was created: Social Security, Provident Fund, Employer Records, and Correspondence. Session length: approximately three hours.

The Outcome

She left with a folder system she has maintained independently for over six months. She described being able to find any document in under two minutes — previously it had taken upwards of twenty.

"Finally I can put my hand on what I need."

Case Study — How-It-Works Information Session

The Situation

A self-employed businessman approaching sixty had never engaged directly with Thailand's Social Security Office and did not understand how his years of contributions related to any future entitlements. He wanted to understand the general structure before contacting the SSO directly.

The Session

A ninety-minute How-It-Works session covered the general structure of Thailand's Social Security system, the types of documents issued at different stages, and where official information and contact points can be found. No personal entitlement calculations were made.

The Outcome

He contacted the SSO himself within a fortnight, describing the session as having given him enough background to ask the right questions. He has since booked a follow-up Organise & Signpost session.

"I went into that SSO appointment knowing what I was asking."

Case Study — Organise & Signpost Programme

The Situation

A British national resident in Thailand for twenty years had pension documents from the UK, a Thai provident fund from a former employer, and several years of Social Security correspondence — all in different formats, some in Thai, some in English.

The Programme

Two appointments over two weeks. First session: full document sort by country, type, and year. Second session: a general information overview and production of a written signpost sheet listing the SSO, the provident fund administrator contact, and the UK pension foreign payment service details.

The Outcome

She described having the written signpost sheet as particularly useful — she was able to pass it to a bilingual colleague to help navigate one of the Thai-language contacts. The folder system organised both English and Thai documents within a shared structure.

"Having everything in one place — and knowing where to go — made a real difference."
